I come from a Capricorn Moon

Capricorn is the goat, and the GOAT. The Greatest Of All Time. 😎

If Leo is the King of the zodiac, Capricorn is the CEO. I knew for certain this photoshoot would involve a suit jacket.

This is the last photoshoot I did as part of my astrology photoshoot project, although we missed out a few signs (Libra, Sag, Aquarius, Pisces 🙁). Maybe I’ll make that up this year. I have ideas for the styling!

These photos were taken in Capricorn season, back in January. We chose Castle Rock as the location, because goats love climbing rocks. EARTH ENERGY. Capricorn builds a fortress.

We didn’t do this on purpose, but these photos also happened to be taken at my old workplace! I used to work at the Edinburgh Farmers Market, right in front of this carpark. Capricorn = 10th house of career.

Style Icons

My boys, David and Freddie, made sartorial appearances. David Bowie was a Capricorn Sun, and brought this up at every opportunity, which is one of my favourite things about him. He LOVED being a Capricorn. My nail polish is Aladdin Sane Orange, or so I call it.

Freddie Mercury and I are both Capricorn Moons. While he introduced me to the wonders of harlequin print, and is the reason I own these trousers, I chose them because they match the blazer best. A stark black/white contrast feels Capricorn to me as well. Classic, iconic.

I was NOT feeling like being photographed that day, and remember dressing up in my little Capricorn suit but telling myself and Jess, who photographed) that maybe we wouldn’t take pictures. Capricorn’s 10th house represents public image, but it’s not ‘look at me!’ Leo. It’s more calculated and controlling. I want it to be just so. There will be no explanation there will just be reputation. If it speaks for itself, it better be said with precision. Capricorn is a closed board meeting where Important Matters of Business are attended to. You can’t sit with us, but you will know us. Fortress.

Does this sound like A LOT? Well, for a Moon, it is. A Capricorn Moon is ‘in detriment’. There is nothing warm and fuzzy about Capricorn, HOWEVER, we are an intense and true. Ernest Hemingway had a Capricorn Moon. Capricorn is cutthroat, ruthless, serious. Capricorn will not bullshit you or waste anyone’s time. Capricorn is in charge, and knows what’s best. Dwayne the ROCK Johnson is a Cap Moon. What did I tell you? 🪨😎

I love my Capricorn Moon with an intensity that only a Cap Moon could. It’s not effusive. It can come off a little unnatural, a little too logical and matter of fact for the softness of one’s emotional world. but we really mean it! we do!
